Entourage’s worst season ever

Posted: September 13, 2010 in Pop Culture, Television

It is tough for me to say this but this was by far the worst season to date. Why do you watch Entourage? The same reason everyone does, Ari’s outlandish one-liners, Vince taking over the world with sick movies, and surprising cameos.

Cameos by Jordan farmar, Ryan Howard, Chris Bosh, Kevin Love, Drew Brees, Mark Cuban, Augilera, Eminem were not enough to salvage this terrible season. The writers had it completely wrong. Instead of sticking with their bread and butter of fun loving antics and ballin through out LA, they went with the current trend of Hollywood of drugs and emo celebs.

I really hope the next season and/or the rumored movie make up for this season and that this season wasn’t enough to rule those out. Of course this is just my opinion but I think a lot of people share this opinion. But maybe we’re wrong and the writers are just that much smarter than us and used this season as the rock bottom it needed and the intervention is forthcoming.

MTV VMAs blog tomorrow.

You and the Screen Actor’s Guild are the only ones who criticize Entourage for its artistic and literary integrity. It is the “one-liners, Vince taking over the world with sick movies, and surprising cameos.” that has made the show what it is. And they were stupid to stray away from the money makers. You are not in their demo and I don’t ever recall you even saying you’ve seen the show.

I have to agree with Rick on this one. This is one of the more diverse seasons so far. Everyone was starting to get bored with the same old shit for the past two seasons. Vince having a drug problem is awesome. There has never been a main character more apt to be killed off than Vincent Chase. No one would even be mad because he’s probably the 3rd or 4th best character on the show, and a good portion of the Entourage audience hates him.

So set it up to where this season makes everyone really hate Vince and then next season he recovers, something dramatic happens to him, and then he OD’s on drugs. It would be an extremely climatic and realistic end to a great show AND make everyone forget how much they hate that fucking douche bag. Plus it would be nice for a show on HBO not to pussy out during a finale.

I agree with Danny, not Rick.

  4. Drew Belcher says:

Ari and Drama make this show what it is. Plain and simple. How many seasons can there be ending with a high or a low for Vince? Well, obviously all of them! That’s why the only reason – continue to watch the show is because, like everyone else, it’s an addiction, but for Ari and Drama.
